The CMEF is a 501 (C) (3) Foundation, treated as a public charity under status 170 (B) (1) (A) (VI). Contributions are deductible under Section 170 of the IRS Code. CMEF is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code. A copy of our 501 (C) (3) letter is attached.
The Children's Music Education Foundation was established to change the lives of children by providing a musical experience that can last for all of their lives. The goal of CMEF is to provide musical training that emphasizes the creative - imagination developing - components of music that are so often not a part of public and private music instruction. CMEF provides scholarships for worthy students and much-needed teacher training for a comprehensive musical curriculum. A major focus of CMEF is to support programs that develop self esteem through self accomplishment, and that relate musical concepts to fields such as math and language.
Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than information.” CMEF is working to support programs that help children discover their creative potential and imagination, and focus it toward becoming confident tin their ability to think creatively.
For your donation, you will not receive an award or any public thank you or listing of sponsorship. Rather, you will personally know that your changed a child’s life. True charity needs no recognition.
